Traditional hotel in a pretty nice area of Aldeburgh. Welcoming staff, free wake up calls and ironing. Bright and airy room provided with wi-fi, the bedroom, as example. Really had really comfortable stay on first night of our stay.

Very disappointed paid for a see view, but windows filthy, room very small, had to move furniture to make cup of tea. Bathroom very outdated for the cost, old flat towels which are small, cheap plastic toilet seat you get the picture, Could not get a drink at the bar for what seemed like ages as the head barman was chatting to a solo customer for over five minutes (probably the owner) Reception no offer to help with bags, In the morning when the lady presented me with the bill, she asked if we had a nice time and I replied that we did, but the room was in my opinion dated and a bit dirty for the price, she just smiled, so not wanting to make a big deal I asked if a manager could give me a call the next day, she smiled again and guess what ? no phone call. To recap its an ok place with a captive audience so they can charge as they wish whilst not having to try to hard.

The room was well equipped, with excellent free WiFi. I particularly enjoyed the quality of the breakfast options, diverse and satisfying.
The view from the room did not meet my expectations.
